All about dispatch and delivery

At The Positive Health Shop, we aim to dispatch your completed supplement order within 48 hours. But most usually same day where orders are received before midday (GMT) and held as stock (not including weekends or public holidays)

Book orders are delivered subject to stock being in print or available from our wholesalers. We aim to dispatch books within 10 days maximum but 72 hours is more realistic (not including weekends or public holidays). However, if there is a problem with the title or it is out of stock we will contact you by email to get your approval before we make any charges to your card or bank your cheque.

We will arrange for delivery to the address which you specify when ordering subject to cleared and available funds on your chosen method of payment when presented. We will do our utmost to arrange delivery within the time specified (dependant on delivery method chosen) up to a maximum of 20 days from the date of your order.

Our liability of any kind for late delivery or failure to deliver is limited to the price payable for the goods not including any postage charge paid. If you are not available to accept delivery and your goods are returned to us, an extra delivery charge may become payable. We will always advise you of this and offer the option of cancellation if deemed appropriate.

All products dispatched correctly in accordance with your confimed order and returned un-defective are subject to a 25% (of selling price) surcharge to cover re-stocking. administration and postage. Please note that we are not able to accept returned Probiotic products when correctly supplied, unless defective

Important note for all Practitioners and Health Professionals using our site. All of the above will be deemed Trade Sales. If you need to return goods purchased from us and are a Trade customer you will need to contact Customer Support BEFORE returning goods to obtain an RMA (returned merchandise authorisation) ALL good returned are subject to a restocking charge and terms and conditions apply. IMPORTANT. PLEASE NOTE. For security reasons, we strictly reserve the right to only ship to billing address (when a different delivery address is given) in certain instances or when instructed to do so by your credit card verification service on presentation of payment for authorisation. If this is the case we will always advise you accordingly and give you the opportunity to amend the delivery route or cancel the order. This email contact will be an automated response sent out by our order server and we cannot be responsible for non-receipt due to the spam and virus protection in place on some servers (such as Hotmail, Yahoo, MSN and AOL).

Risk of damage or loss to the goods passes to you on receipt/delivery or, if you refuse or are unable to accept, when delivery is attempted.

For UK orders where FIRST CLASS POST is the chosen delivery option, delivery is FREE when the order value is more than £40.00 GBP. For orders less than £40.00 GBP deliveries are now priced according to their size and weight. Please see the table below which clarifies this

Large orders containing heavier items may be subject to a Heavy Item Charge and are usually sent by 48hr door to door courier service. If this is the case, we will advise you when the packed weight is available.

UK Door to Door Courier Delivery Rates
All prices quoted are for parcels below 5kg in weight when packed. Volumetric restrictions may apply - we will always advise you of this if applicable.

All single parcels, weight not exceeding 5kg with a volumetric dimension not exceeding 450mm in any one direction can be sent anywhere on the UK postcoded Mainland (excluding Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight and Northern Ireland) for a flat tariff of £8.00.

Please note addressee only signature will be required for this delivery type and the goods will not be left at any other address other than that of the credit card/debit card holder. Also, we only offer this service to a work address if the addressee is able to sign for the goods in person. If this is not undertaken the transit and loss insurance included in this method of dispatch is void.

Please note new charges for 2006. We are a UK based shop but dispatch our products to International destinations daily. Most of the products are light, packed in plastic therefore easily, safely and relatively inexpensively dispatched all over the globe. Here are our International dispatch rates as of 1st January 2005.

World Air Mail Delivery

Please note that all international orders with a packed weight in excess of 2kg may be subject to a Heavy Item Surcharge. We will always advise you in advance if this is the case.

We can also dispatch by Express Air Mail for those items needed by customers more quickly than normal. This method usually reduces the delivery time from the UK by 1-2 days If you require this service, please make this known to us in the comments box at the checkout and we will email you with an additional cost estimate.

International courier delivery

If you wish to have a guaranteed, door to door delivery of your International order, this is available via Royal Mail Parcelforce, UPS or FedEx and there is an option to choose the ‘courier cost please’ button on the confirm order page of the shop. We will happily send a quote for the cost by email for your approval before dispatch if so instructed to do so. This is a guaranteed, trackable and insured delivery service.

International Customs

Please note, it is the customer's responsibility for the monitoring of any parcels through local customs and into a local postal network if normal Air or Surface Mail is your chosen delivery method. The Positive Health Shop is not able to make any delivery guarantees once a parcel leaves the UK Postal service. We offer international shipping to an extensive number of countries. If we do not ship to your country it is because we have found from experience that there is either a high incidence of Credit Card Fraud or that the local Postal Service has proved unreliable in the past.

International shipping can be easy and trouble free but occasionally it is complicated by local postal network difficulties in the country to which it is being sent. If you have chosen the UK international Airmail Service for our international shipping please be assured that they offer an excellent service at less than half the price of carriers such as UPS or FedEx. However it is impossible for us to guarantee shipping times. The shipping times we give are only estimates. Typically they are accurate but this is not guaranteed and you should understand this fully before placing an order with us. If your package appears to be overdue please contact us and we will do what we can to help. Usually, we cannot track international packages except for those where and International Courier service is the chosen (and paid for) dispatch method. The most common causes of an international becoming late are getting through customs or an incomplete mailing address. The heavier the order the more likely it will be searched and therefore held up in customs.

We must wait 30 days from the time of shipment before we can file a claim with the UK Post Office Service. Therefore, we reserve the right to not refund or resend an overdue international order until 30 days from the time of shipment. If there is a problem the order will be returned to us before 30 days at which time we will determine the best course of action which will most likely involve re-shipping the goods to you.

Unfortunately, due to restrictions placed upon us by our credit card merchant sevices, we are unable to ship to non UK PO Boxes or international destinations not linked to the billing address of the payment card.
