Starch Neutraliser. One gram, or two tablets, of this proprietary extract of white kidney beans (phaseolamin 2250) inhibits the digestion of approximately 1500 calories of starch when taken half an hour before a meal. The undigested starch travels through the digestive system, where it provides bulk similarily to fibre, and is then eliminated. FreeCarb provides the same phaseolamin, also called Phase 2 Starch Neutralizer, as used in clinical studies around the world. Reputable studies have found that cheap substitutes, such as 'white kidney bean extract', do not have a comparable effect.
